It's been like an hour since the kid stole our tip jar, which luckily was filled with coins estimating to about $3 max. This then got me thinking - WHY? I can't completely blame him for doing that because I feel that our society has contributed to it whether it being his education or the feeling that he needs that extra $3 or so to get through the day. There are just so many reasons going into my head of how sad it is that he made that choice to steal our tips! The weird part is that if I saw him, I would probably want to kick/punch him. I really do, which in turn freaks me out because that boy who I don't know made my beliefs just go down the drain and make me want to cause physical violence and hatred within me. I did stereotype him because he was a local looking boy - the kine from Wai'anae. And I am so angry that within a course of let's say 15 minutes I have become racist and violent. Aaaah I try to not stereotype, but incidents like this make me.... or do they? I don't know. Is it wrong for feeling/thinking that? I guess it goes with my whole idea that everybody is racist and/or stereotypes, even if they try not to.

While this was happening I was researching for my paper on regime theory -- focusing on poverty. Poverty, poverty, poverty!

Even though I am not a hip-hop junkie, I love learning about the culture - the words that just flow out of their mouths makes sense. It just sounds beautiful. A weird word to associate hip-hop with, but it is beautiful.

So, I had such an amaaaazin' sleep last night that I am prepared for my classes and my visit from Polly! Still trying to think of where to go hiking.

Anyways, I cannot wait until "A Song for Ourselves" event next week!!!! Aaaah it's going to be the best. I love this kind of stuff!!!!

So Carla and Aimee left on Sunday and now my parents are here. Well actually, they are in Hilo right now - $29 for inter-island flights! Damn you school!!

Carla should never go into water! Aaah she had an almost near-death drowning incident where I seriously freaked out about and then she gets stung by a Portuguese Man-of-War at Lanikai!
Aimee got her golden tan, she is i'd say about getting close to my shade.
I really wanna go island hopping with my friends!!!
School is overwhelming, so much reading... especially the New York Times!
I love learning about Nazi Germany- watching Downfall for my political philosophy class.

Summer vacay

My summer in a nutshell! School plus lovely visits from Mel&Mary, the people who make me want to blog more! &&video blog! I homesick for a week after they left, then school got me thinking all kine crazy!

... can seriously kiss my ass! I freakin' hate doing math homework, it is long and tedious!!

Work was great today! I think I had a good day because I ditched Math. Haha! I instead went beach, slept, and woke up to sand and my towel attacking me. It was funny!

I am in the mood to play tennis, someone play with me!

Anyways, ArtFest this weekend at Waikiki and I cannot wait to buy new jewelry! Aaah I live for this kind of stuff.

So last night I went to sleep at 2am and just downloaded songs the whole time... i should have been doing my hw, but I am so freakin' lazy or just not motivated.

I have lowered my standards for this class and will just accept getting either a B or a C.

I got asked to help organize two events here in Honolulu, yeaaaah! I am so excited to be involved again. The one I am most looking forward to is the "Celebration of the Filipino Youth Culture." That should be fun!

Alright I'm going to attempt to organize my room and then start my math hw that was actually due today. I suck!
